What Makes Me Happy…
Tonight, at Burton Chace Park felt like a quiet celebration of being exactly who you are.
The trees stood in silhouette against the fading sky, each one shaped differently, each one beautiful in its own way. No two alike. No need to be. Just standing, reaching, existing… perfectly.
As I walked, I noticed a little grebe moving across the water with purpose. No hesitation. Just forward. Like it knew exactly where it needed to go.
Nearby, a seagull was splashing in the water, completely in the moment… not caring who was watching. Just pure joy.
And tucked into the roots of a tree, a squirrel sat happily enjoying his peanuts, focused and content, like he had everything he needed right there.
Everyone was doing what made them happy.
No comparison. No rush. No second guessing.
Just being.
And standing there, watching it all, I realized…
that might be one of the most beautiful things in the world.
I do what makes me happy.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
