Morning Reflections

Waddles, Checkers, and the Mist of Morning

This morning arrived like a whisper—cool, quiet, misty enough to feel like autumn brushing past summer’s edge. The pier held its soft hush, the kind that makes you slow down and really see. The pigeons were out, fluttering like little spirits in the haze, each one carrying a personality as distinct as a thumbprint. I named a few new souls today. One bold-legged wanderer—Waddles—strutted with gentle bravado. Another, speckled in black and white, felt like the natural companion to Domino. So, I called him Checkers. They’re part of the story now, part of the morning’s unfolding grace.

Morning Gratitude Thought

💫 Gratitude for misty peace, for personalities that perch beside me, and for the joy of naming what the heart already knows.

Someone holds a bright orange note with inspirational text against a stormy pier and ocean background.
