Morning Reflections
There Is Something Good in Every Day…
Some mornings arrive wrapped in sunshine. Others arrive dressed in soft gray clouds. Today was one of those gentle gray mornings that reminded me beauty doesn’t need bright colors to shine.
The ocean was calm, the waves rolled in with quiet confidence, and Adonis was right where I hoped he would be, perched high on his pole, keeping watch over the pier. Below, the pigeons were gathered for breakfast, happily pecking away and filling the morning with their familiar joy.
A black-crowned night heron patiently waited for breakfast too, standing still as only a heron can. Out on the water, birds chased after a fishing boat, turning an ordinary morning into a little aerial show.
And then there was Pegleg. He followed me all the way back down the pier, making sure I knew he was there. Moments like that never get old.
As I was leaving, I saw Davide working on one of his beautiful paintings. Watching someone create something meaningful always feels like a gift.
My little pink note said it perfectly today:
“There is something good in every day.”
Sometimes it’s a dramatic sunrise. Sometimes it’s a loyal seagull, a patient heron, an osprey on a pole, or an artist quietly painting by the beach.
Today, it was all of those things.
Grateful. 🩷
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
