Morning Reflections
The Sweetest Sunrise…
This morning, the sky opened with an angelic glow—sunlight streaming through the clouds like a quiet hymn. It was one of those moments that makes you pause, breathe, and feel deeply grateful. Brownie was the first to greet me. She had a fish hook stuck in her foot, and though it’s left a little hole, I’m just thankful she still has her foot. Pegleg came next, hopping along with his one good foot, undeterred and full of life. The pigeons were their usual joyful selves, fluttering about like tiny dancers. Domino always warms my heart—she comes when I call, like we share a secret bond. Honey Girl perched on my shoulder, her favorite spot, and all their little faces turned toward me with such sweetness. It’s become one of my favorite parts of the day—this quiet gathering, this gentle communion with my feathered friends. And Adonis was up high on the pole, watching it all. And as I turned to leave, the crows lined up in a row, as if to say, “Don’t forget me.” These moments remind me that love shows up in the smallest gestures, and gratitude lives in the quiet corners of the morning.
Morning Gratitude Thought:
The sunrise was angelic today—soft rays spilling through the sky like a blessing. Brownie’s foot is healing, Pegleg is thriving, and the pigeons are as joyful as ever. Domino came when I called, Honey Girl perched on my shoulder, and all their little faces looked at me with love. Even the crows lined up as I left, whispering, “Don’t forget me.” Grateful for mornings like this. Grateful for them.
