Morning Reflections

The Sunset Requirement

There’s something sacred about watching the sunset every day. No two are ever the same—each one a fleeting masterpiece, painted just for that moment. I love the way it descends slowly, like a curtain falling on the day, soft and golden and full of grace. Tonight, the pelicans flew in formation again, their silhouettes carving through the sky with quiet majesty. It always takes my breath away—how they move together, how they trust the rhythm of the air. Sometimes I wish it were a requirement for everyone: to pause, to witness, to count the beautiful things at sunset. I think the world would be softer, kinder, more grateful if we all took that time. There’s so much to notice, so much to cherish.

Gratitude tonight:

For sunsets that never repeat,

For pelicans in perfect flight,

For the daily gift of beauty,

And for the hope that more hearts might learn to see it.
