Morning Reflections

The Little Things…

This morning in my parents’ backyard was a beautiful reminder that some of the best moments in life are the ones we could so easily overlook.

The little birds gathered along the fence and around the feeder, fluttering in and out as they shared breakfast. The doves sat quietly above, the clouds moved across that beautiful Texas sky, and then the squirrel decided it was his turn at the buffet.

Nothing extraordinary had to happen.

I just had to notice.

“Life’s better when you notice the little things.”

I think the little things eventually become the big things. The birds singing outside the window. A squirrel scampering across a wire. Puffy clouds drifting overhead. A quiet morning in your parents’ backyard.

These are the moments that become memories.

I’m especially grateful to my parents because they gave me this love of nature. They taught me, perhaps without even realizing it, to look around, pay attention and appreciate the beautiful world God gave us.

No matter where I am, I hope I never stop noticing.

Because sometimes the smallest things fill the biggest spaces in our hearts.

Always grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
