Evening Reflections
The Moon Watched With Us
The first sunset of September arrived like a quiet blessing. Waikiki shimmered in soft pinks and golds, the moon already rising as if eager to witness the beauty below. Surfers carved through the waves, sailboats drifted like dreams, and people—so many people—paused to take it all in. I stood by the rocks, watching little crabs hold tight as the water crashed over them. Their resilience, their stillness, felt like a metaphor. There’s so much to see when we choose to notice. The sky, the sea, the strangers beside us—all part of the same moment. Tonight reminded me that peace doesn’t always come in silence. Sometimes it arrives in shared awe, in the hush of a crowd watching the sky turn to poetry. September, you’ve begun beautifully.
Evening Gratitude Thought
Grateful for the moon rising early, for pink clouds drifting slowly, for crabs holding fast and people pausing to witness beauty. Grateful for the way nature gathers us—quietly, powerfully—and reminds us to look up.
