Evening Reflections
Goodbye August
The last sunset of August painted the sky in hues too bold for words—corals and violets melting into the sea like a whispered goodbye. Hawaiian sunsets have a way of holding you still, reminding you that beauty doesn’t rush. POn the rocks, little crabs clung tightly as waves crashed around them—tiny guardians of the shore, resilient and unbothered. I watched them and felt something ancient stir. This moment, this light, this rhythm of nature—it’s a gift. One I don’t take for granted. August closes with grace, and I’m stepping into September with a heart full of thanks and eyes wide open to wonder.
Evening Gratitude Thought
Grateful for the colors that linger long after the sun dips below the horizon. For the crabs that hold fast, and the waves that keep coming. For the quiet reminder that endings can be beautiful too.
