The Moon Behind Me, The Heart Within Me
Back home tonight, and the sunset welcomed me like an old friend. The full moon rose behind me, casting a soft glow over familiar streets, reminding me that no matter where you go, the sky always follows. That’s the beautiful thing about travel—you carry the sunsets with you, and they greet you wherever you land. And today is my dad’s birthday. As I watched the light shift and the moon settle in, I thought about all the little things he’s taught me to notice. The way he sees beauty in the quiet, the way he works with dedication and grace, the way he’s shaped my love for nature and my appreciation for the simple joys. The little things are the big things. That’s what he taught me. And tonight, I feel that truth in every breath. Here’s to another trip around the sun, Dad. I love you. Happy Birthday.
