Evening Reflections
The Grebe That Danced at Sunset…
Tonight, the marina was glowing in that soft golden way that only happens right before the sun disappears. The sailboats rested quietly in the harbor, their masts standing tall like a forest of lines against the evening sky.
Along the path, the hibiscus flowers were reaching for the last bit of sunlight. Their petals seemed to hold the glow of the sunset, like little lanterns lighting the walkway.
Moments like that make me slow down. They remind me that beauty is always there if we take the time to notice it.
Then suddenly, the real show began.
A tiny grebe appeared on the water and started splashing and spinning like it was dancing on its own little stage. It shook its wings and twirled in the water as if nobody was watching… but of course I was. It reminded me how joyful life can be when we simply allow ourselves to move freely and live in the moment.
As I stood there watching the ripples spread across the harbor, I held up my message that felt perfect for the evening:
“May the light of your soul illuminate and heal everything in your life.”
The marina reflected the fading light, the flowers glowed softly beside the path, and that little grebe continued its dance.
Nature has a beautiful way of reminding us that light is always present… sometimes in the sky, sometimes in the water, and sometimes within ourselves.
Grateful for another sunset.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:
Sunsets have a way of reminding me to slow down. Moments like this remind me of a beautiful truth: Sometimes that light is the sunset. Sometimes it’s a tiny bird dancing on the water. And sometimes it’s simply the joy of being present. Grateful for the beauty of this evening.
