Evening Reflections
The Bubble Carried Them Both…
Tonight, the sky gave me a gift wrapped in shimmer. I was walking on the pier chasing light and quiet, when the bubbles appeared—floating like soft punctuation marks in the air. One drifted higher than the rest, catching the last golden rays of the day. And inside it, impossibly, a bird and a plane crossed paths. A seagull's wings wide and wild. An airplane, distant and deliberate. Both suspended in the same fragile sphere. “A bird and a plane met inside a shimmer. One knew the wind. One knew the map.” And just beyond that surreal moment, a sailboat glided toward the horizon, its silhouette slipping into the sunset like a whispered goodbye. It felt like everything was moving—some by instinct, some by design, some by choice. All of it held in the same golden breath. It felt like a message. A reminder that timing is everything. That beauty doesn’t always announce itself—it waits to be noticed. And when you do, you catch moments that are unrepeatable. Moments that hold both instinct and intention. Wildness and design. Departure and arrival. I’m learning to trust that. To trust the timing. To trust the shimmer. Forever grateful.
Evening Gratitude Thought:
The bubble carried them both—a bird and a plane, caught in the same breath of light. One flew by feel. One flew by plan. And just beyond, a sailboat sailed into the sunset, quiet and sure. I’m grateful for the quiet magic that finds me when I slow down. For the reminders that beauty is always nearby, waiting to be seen.
