Evening Reflections

The Beauty of Showing Up…

Gray skies tonight for sunset. No golden light, no dramatic colors—but still, I showed up. And that’s the beauty of ritual. There’s momentum in keeping the promises you make to yourself, even when the sky doesn’t perform. The hibiscus stood out tonight, glowing quietly against the muted backdrop. And the little ruddy duck floated alone, drifting like a thought across the water. I always wonder what they’re thinking about. Maybe nothing. Maybe everything. We all need time alone. There’s something sacred in these moments—when the world is soft, and you’re simply present. Grateful for the gray, for the stillness, and for the quiet joy of showing up.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Grateful for gray skies, for the hibiscus in bloom, and for the ruddy duck floating alone. Grateful for the beauty in keeping promises to myself.
