Evening Reflections

Strong Like the Sunset…

Tonight’s sunset felt like the perfect way to honor International Women’s Day. As the sun settled behind the bluffs, the sky turned soft gold and the city lights began to twinkle below. A hummingbird landed nearby for a moment, as if pausing to witness the beauty too. Those little moments always remind me how much strength exists in the quiet things.

Today I’m especially thinking about my mom. She is one of the strongest women I know. The kind of strength that isn’t loud but steady. The kind that lifts people up, encourages them, and shows them what’s possible simply by the way she lives her life.

Standing there watching the sunset, I held my message that says:

“Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

It felt like the perfect reflection for today.

Strength shows up in so many forms…

in kindness, in resilience, in encouragement, in love.

And sometimes it looks like a hummingbird…small but powerful, beating its wings with incredible determination.

Today I celebrate all the strong women in this world, and especially my mom, who continues to inspire me every day.

Grateful for sunsets, hummingbirds, and the women who show us what strength really looks like.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Tonight’s sunset reminded me of the quiet strength all around us. Watching a hummingbird perch nearby and the city glow below, I thought about the women who shape our lives. My mom is one of the strongest women I know, and today on International Women’s Day I celebrate her and all the incredible women who lift others up.
