Evening Reflections
Still Showing Up, Even Without the Sun...
Tonight didn’t come with color.
No fiery sky.
No dramatic goodbye from the sun.
Just layers of soft gray stretching across the horizon like a quiet exhale.
And somehow… it was still beautiful.
The palm trees leaned into the wind like they knew something I was still learning. The ocean kept moving, steady and faithful, not needing a sunset to be seen. The pier lights flickered on one by one, like gentle reminders that light doesn’t disappear… it just changes form.
It felt like the opposite of this morning’s energy.
No excitement. No rush. No big moment.
Just presence.
And maybe that’s the balance life keeps offering us.
Not every day will be bright and glowing.
Not every moment will take your breath away.
But every moment still holds something… if you’re willing to show up for it.
But I’ve learned something on these walks…
There is power in keeping the promises you make to yourself.
Even when it’s cloudy.
Even when it’s quiet.
Even when it doesn’t go the way you imagined.
Because that’s where peace starts to grow.
Tonight, I was reminded:
“Be so confident in God’s plan that you don’t even get upset anymore when things don’t go your way.”
That kind of confidence doesn’t come from perfect sunsets.
It comes from showing up anyway.
And trusting… there’s beauty waiting for you, even in the gray.
Always. 🤍
Capturing beauty, sharing light
