Evening Reflections

Sea Lion State of Mind …

Tonight’s sunset didn’t arrive with loud colors or dramatic skies. Instead, it showed up quietly. Soft light over the marina. Sailboats rocking gently in the water. A crescent moon hanging above it all like a tiny lantern in the sky.

And then came the real surprise.

A sea lion floated nearby completely upside down, drifting through the harbor like the world had nowhere else he needed to be. One flipper in the air. Eyes closed. Completely relaxed. Completely present. Honestly, he stole the whole show.

Sometimes nature reminds us that peace does not always arrive wrapped in fireworks. Sometimes it looks like still water, a calm evening breeze, and a sea lion teaching everyone nearby how to slow down for a moment.

My little yellow note tonight said:

“Feel good, love life, be kind. That was always the main goal.”

Watching that peaceful sea lion floating beneath the evening sky, it felt exactly right

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

A sticky note with handwritten text held up against ocean water with seabirds floating on the surface.
