Evening Reflections
Recognized by the Sky
Venice was buzzing tonight—sunset drawing everyone out like moths to a flame. It was one of those days that felt like a gift wrapped in light. Pegleg perched high on his pole, scanning the scene like a sentinel. And then, that moment—he saw me. Came down. Just like he always does. There’s something deeply moving about being recognized. Not for what you do, or who you are to the world—but simply for being present. It doesn’t matter if it’s a pigeon or a person. That moment of connection makes you feel like you belong. The sailboats drifted across the horizon, pink clouds glowing behind them, and pelicans glided like quiet messengers of peace. It was perfect. A reminder that beauty isn’t just in the view—it’s in the way it sees you back.
Evening Gratitude Thought
Grateful to be seen. By Pegleg, by the sky, by the quiet rhythm of the sea. Grateful for pink clouds and pelicans in flight. For sailboats drifting through golden light. For the feeling of being part of something—just by showing up.
