Evening Reflections

Rainy Rituals by the Pier…

No sun tonight, but I still showed up. There’s something about walking in the rain that feels cleansing—like the world is pressing reset. Domino peeked out from under the pier, curious but cautious, retreating when the drops grew heavier. As I was leaving, Pegleg swooped down for his usual peanuts, joined quickly by the rest of the gulls. I laughed and told him he’d better hurry. These small encounters, these rituals, remind me that gratitude isn’t about grand gestures—it’s about showing up, even when the sky is gray.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Grateful for the ritual of showing up, rain or shine. The quiet joy of familiar faces—feathered or otherwise—reminds me that even in the drizzle, there’s connection, refreshment, and meaning.
