Evening Reflections

Palm Trees and Painted Skies

Santa Monica never disappoints at sunset. Tonight, Palisades Park felt like a quiet cathedral of light—palm trees rising like prayers, clouds drifting like brushstrokes across a canvas no artist could replicate. There’s something timeless about this place. The way the palms line up like a rose of sentinels, reaching skyward with grace. The way the ocean lies in the background, steady and sure.

The way the light softens everything, even the edges of thought. I walked slowly, letting the colors settle into me. Grateful for this ritual, for this view, for the way endings can feel like beginnings when the sky is this beautiful.

 Evening Gratitude Thought

Grateful for palm trees that stretch toward the heavens. For clouds that drift like dreams. For sunsets that remind me to pause, breathe, and receive. For the quiet beauty of Palisades Park, where the day ends in color and calm. For the way nature always knows how to say goodnight.
