Evening Reflections

No Matter the Wind…

Tonight, in Marina del Rey, the wind was strong, the waves were loud, and the sky felt alive. The kind of evening where you could feel the air moving through everything, clearing, polishing, reminding.

I stood there watching the ocean push forward, wave after wave, never hesitating. The pier held steady while the sun slowly melted into the horizon, turning everything shades of gold and deep blue. A seagull crossed the sky at just the right moment, like punctuation at the end of a beautiful sentence. Some evenings feel effortless. Tonight felt earned.

The wind pulled at my clothes and the sand shifted under my feet, but I was grateful for it. Grateful that I keep this ritual no matter what the weather brings. Showing up has become its own quiet promise to myself. The ocean doesn’t ask if conditions are perfect. It just keeps moving, and somehow that feels like permission to do the same.

I thought about the little message I held up earlier: “The universe is working in my favor.”

Standing there, it felt true. Not because everything is easy, but because every wave, every gust, every sunset reminds me that there is beauty waiting when we decide to keep showing up.

Tonight, the sky faded slowly, leaving soft reflections on the wet sand. People walked by as silhouettes, each carrying their own stories. And I left feeling grounded, windswept, and peaceful.

Grateful for the ritual. Grateful for the ocean. Grateful for another sunset I almost didn’t miss.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Some nights the wind is strong, and the waves are louder than your thoughts. But I’ve learned something beautiful: showing up anyway is where gratitude lives. Tonight’s sunset reminded me that consistency is its own kind of love. The universe is always working in our favor when we keep walking toward the light.

A stunning orange sunset over dark ocean waters creates a dramatic silhouette against the horizon.
