Afternoon Reflections
Lookout Watch…
Today felt like the ocean gently whispering, welcome home.
The afternoon carried that peaceful kind of quiet that doesn’t need to fill every space with noise. Sailboats drifted across the horizon while the kite surfer danced with the wind, carving soft lines through the sky and water. Pelicans glided low over the waves like they were part of the tide itself.
One of my favorite moments was spotting the night heron standing high on the pole, looking over everything like a tiny guardian of the pier. Calm. Still. Watching the world move beneath him.
And then there was Clubbie. ❤️
The birds may not fully know I’m back yet, but Clubbie came out to greet me anyway. Sometimes being remembered by even one small soul can make the whole world feel softer.
I held one of my little pink messages while looking out at the endless water:
“Silent and listen contain the same letters.”
The ocean understands that better than anyone.
I’m grateful for peaceful afternoons, familiar waves, gliding pelicans, and quiet reminders that sometimes the most beautiful moments arrive without needing to announce themselves.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
