Afternoon Reflections

Little Acrobats of Joy…

There are moments in life that seem so simple, yet they fill your heart in ways that are hard to explain.

This afternoon was one of those moments.

The ocean stretched out beneath a bright blue sky, the waves rolled steadily toward shore, and my pigeon friends arrived one after another, eager and excited. Before long, they were piled on top of each other, balancing on my hand, flapping their wings, and reaching for peanuts like tiny feathered acrobats.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing them happy.

Their excitement is contagious. Their trust feels like a gift. Watching them land, balance, and gently compete for a snack always leaves me smiling. For a few moments, nothing else matters except the joy of sharing space with these beautiful little souls.

One of my favorite reminders today was:

“Today, look for miracles. I guarantee if you look for them, you will find them.”

And there they were.

Not in some grand event, but in soft feathers, bright eyes, flapping wings, and the simple happiness of being together on the pier.

The miracles are everywhere if we take the time to notice them.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
