Morning Reflections

Keep Showing Up

This morning arrived wrapped in fog.

The sky was soft and overcast, and the waves crashed loud against the shore—like a heartbeat echoing through the mist.

Snowy egrets danced along the water’s edge, searching for breakfast with delicate grace. Pegleg greeted me, as always. And the pigeons—so joyful—now meet me at my car, fluttering in with familiarity and affection. They sit in my hand and simply look at me. It’s a moment of stillness, of trust, of quiet love. On the pier, someone had written: “Somebody smiles when they look at you. Keep showing up.” And I will. Because these mornings are my sanctuary. I truly love them. I am grateful.

Morning Gratitude Thought

Even in the fog, joy finds its way. In crashing waves, dancing birds, and quiet moments of connection. Keep showing up. Because someone smiles when they see you. And that someone might be you.
