Joy in the Little Things
This morning the pigeons were full of joy—jumping on and off my arm, so excited to greet the day. Honey Girl hopped on my shoulder like she always does, and even Pegleg joined the fun. Watching them makes people smile, even if they don’t fully understand the connection. It’s still beautiful. Adonis was perched high above, scanning the shoreline. The tide was low, and the clouds reflected like a watercolor across the sand. I walked to the channel and watched as a fishing boat set off for the day, alongside rowers gliding through the water—focused, strong, and full of purpose. There’s so much beauty around us when we take a moment to really pay attention.
Morning Gratitude Thought
Joy is everywhere—in feathers, reflections, ripples, and routines. All we have to do is notice.
