Evening Reflections

How Quickly the Light Can Change…

Tonight at Venice Beach felt like a quiet reminder wrapped in color.

The sun slipped gently into the ocean, painting everything in soft gold and amber. Out on the water, a foil surfer moved like he had unlocked some secret rhythm, gliding above the waves with pure joy. It’s always amazing to watch someone so fully in the moment… like nothing else exists.

In the distance, the flag waved steadily, catching the last light of the day, a simple but powerful reminder that even the smallest movements can feel meaningful when you slow down enough to notice them.

And then I turned around.

Away from the ocean… and there it was.

A cloud, glowing in shades of peach and fire, stretching across the sky like a masterpiece you almost miss if you don’t look back. That’s the thing about sunsets… sometimes the most beautiful part isn’t even where you expect it to be.

And then this message:

“Hang in there. It is astonishing how short a time it can take for very wonderful things to happen.”

It couldn’t have been more perfect for tonight.

Because just like the sky… things can change so quickly. What feels still or uncertain can suddenly shift into something breathtaking.

Grateful for these moments. Grateful for the reminder.

 Capturing beauty, sharing light.
