Morning Reflections:
Honey Girl’s Gaze and Clubby’s Balance
Honey Girl greeted me like clockwork—her little crooked-foot glide ending exactly where it always does: on my shoulder. The way she looks at me, with that calm knowing, it never fails to make me smile.
Clubby landed on my hand, brave and deliberate. With only one foot, she balances like it's second nature. She never hesitates, and I always admire that about her.
The others may come later, but their absence doesn’t lessen the magic. There’s something about being chosen—when wings fly straight to you, not for peanuts, but for connection. I feel it every morning.
The sun was shining, the pier was glowing, and the world felt right.
Today's Gratitude:
- Grateful for shoulder landings that feel like love.
- For one-footed courage and steady hands.
- And for mornings that rise with light and gentle recognition.
