Evening Reflections

Fog, Ferris Lights, and a Quiet Celebration

There was no sun in sight tonight. The marine layer rolled in thick, wrapping the Santa Monica Pier in a soft gray hush. But the Ferris wheel lit like fireworks—red, white, and blue pulsing against the mist. The flag waved from the top like a quiet salute. And the lights reflected on the water like flickering sparklers, dancing in motion. No need for sun. The celebration arrived anyway.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

  • Grateful for lights that shine through fog.
  • For reflections in motion.
  • For the quiet kind of patriotism—less noise, more wonder.
