Morning Reflections

Even a Moment Is Enough…

This morning stretched out like a soft golden ribbon along the shore. The beach was quiet, the light gentle, and the ocean felt steady and patient. Surfers floated beyond the break, waiting for their perfect wave, trusting timing the way nature always does.

And then came the flutter.

Domino flew straight toward me, confident and joyful like she always does. There’s something about the way she cuts through the sky that feels intentional, like she knows exactly where she belongs. Ebony followed with his usual bold entrance, landing right on top of my phone as if it were built just for him. He balanced there proudly, pink toes gripping the edge, completely unbothered by gravity or expectations.

The pigeons were floating peacefully on the water too, little gray boats drifting in gratitude. Watching them reminds me that joy doesn’t have to be loud. It can be simple. It can be steady. It can just show up.

I held up my note this morning:

“Some of you don’t even realize how you light up rooms, shift atmospheres and carry inspiration, just by being you. A walking love letter and don’t know it.”

Nature feels like that to me. These birds feel like that to me. And maybe we do too, without realizing it.

Earlier this morning through thick morning clouds, I caught the briefest glimpse of the blood moon. Just a sliver of red through the gray. It didn’t last long. It didn’t need to. It reminded me that even hidden light still exists. Even moments that pass quickly still matter.

I am so grateful for these mornings on the pier. For the wings, the waves, and the reminders that beauty is always there when we slow down enough to see it.

Capturing beauty. Sharing light.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Beautiful morning on the pier. Surfers waiting. Pigeons floating. Domino flying straight toward me like she always does. Ebony claiming his favorite landing spot on top of my phone. Joy doesn’t need to be complicated. It just needs presence. I even caught a brief glimpse of the blood moon through the clouds. Just a moment. But it was enough. Today I’m grateful for simple rituals, feathered friends, and the reminder that even hidden light still shines.
