Evening Reflections...

Egrets, Herons, and a Moonlit Exchange

Tonight, I walked the marina canal beneath a sky that seemed to hold both the beginning and the end.

Snowy egrets dotted the edges, laser-focused on dinner. Their feet shook—tiny pulses against the still water—as they hunted in silence. Every movement deliberate. Every pause, sacred. Off in the distance stood a great blue heron, tall and timeless. He reminds me of the dinosaur days—ancient energy wrapped in feathers, watching the world unfold. The sun gave its final bow beyond the horizon, and the moon rose high above the ocean, waiting to take its turn. A quiet handoff in the sky.

Today's Gratitude:

Grateful for trembling feet that lead to purpose.

For watchers who bridge time.

And for the moonlight that arrives just as the sun finishes speaking.
