Evening Reflections
Ducks in a Row at Sunset…
Tonight’s sunset on the Venice canals was the kind that gently quiets everything inside you. Pretty pink clouds stretched across the sky, their colors melting into the water below. The reflections were so clear it felt like the world had doubled, as if the sky wanted another chance to admire itself. Ducks floated by in a perfect little row, completely unbothered, creating soft ripples that slowly reshaped the reflections with every glide.
Nothing was rushed. Nothing was loud. Just peaceful movement, gentle water, and the reminder that stillness can be alive too.
As I stood there watching the ripples fade and reform, I felt my shoulders drop. The canals have a way of doing that. They invite you to slow down, to notice the beauty in what’s already here, to trust that everything doesn’t need to be figured out tonight.
Some evenings don’t need drama or fireworks. They just need presence. Tonight was one of those evenings, and I’m so grateful I showed up for it.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:
Tonight, I’m grateful for calm water, soft pink skies, and ducks floating by like gentle reminders that peace doesn’t have to try so hard.
