Morning Reflections

Clouds, Calm, and Honey Girl

This morning at the Pier felt like a whispered lullaby. The clouds hung low, soft and silver, casting a peaceful hush over everything. Surfers waited patiently for the next wave, their boards bobbing like quiet prayers. The pigeons fluttered happily around me, and Honey Girl nestled on my shoulder—her presence grounding, familiar, sweet. The ocean was calm, almost still, and the pelicans glided across the horizon like brushstrokes on water. It was one of those mornings that doesn’t ask for attention—it simply offers peace. I’m grateful for the quiet. For the way nature shows up in gentle ways. For the feeling of being held by the moment, without needing to do anything but notice.

Morning Gratitude Thought

Grateful for cloudy skies that soften the world. For surfers waiting with quiet hope. For Honey Girl’s gentle weight on my shoulder. For fluttering pigeons and gliding pelicans. For mornings that remind me: peace doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful.
