Morning Reflections

Carried on the Wind…

This morning the wind had something to prove. Big waves were crashing beneath the pier, loud and powerful and the wind made it hard to stand up. The birds were suspended mid-air like living kites, trying to land against gusts that didn’t want to let them.

But they were determined.

Pegleg was up in the air, wings wide, circling and trying again and again to land. The wind pushed him back, but he leaned into it. Watching him reminded me how much discipline lives inside nature. They don’t complain. They adjust. They rise. They try again.

Domino surprised me. She usually doesn’t like the cold, but she came out anyway. That meant so much to me. Even in the swirling wind, even with the big waves crashing, she showed up.

The pigeons hovered, hungry and hopeful. They depend on me, and I feel that deeply. I don’t want to let them down. Showing up for them every morning, no matter the weather, feels like a promise I’ve made with my heart.

And as I stood there, holding that bright pink note against the ocean backdrop, the message felt louder than the wind:

“Words carry vibration, so use them thoughtfully before sending your energy out to others.”

The wind cleans everything. It polishes the air. It scrubs the trees. It resets the shoreline. And maybe our words should do the same.

Maybe discipline isn’t just showing up physically. Maybe it’s choosing what we send out into the world.

The air was clearer. The waves were bigger. The birds were braver. And my heart was full. I am so grateful for them.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Grateful for windy mornings that test everything. Grateful for big waves that remind me how strong love is. Grateful for Pegleg’s persistence. Grateful Domino came out in the cold. Grateful for discipline. Grateful for clean air, brave wings, and thoughtful words.
