Evening Reflections

Blooming in the Light…

Tonight, the Venice Canals felt like a living garden. Everywhere I looked, there were flowers, each one more intricate than the last. Their colors, textures, and perfectly imperfect details reminded me that people are much the same. No two of us are alike, yet each of us brings our own kind of beauty to the world.

A snowy egret patiently searched for dinner while the bridge reflected perfectly in the still water below. Then a tiny hummingbird appeared and seemed determined to turn our meeting into a little photo shoot. Every time I lifted my camera, it found another perfect perch. Before I left, a tiny bird hopped across the path, adding one last smile to an already beautiful evening.

My little quote seemed to fit everything I saw today:

“Some years are for growing, but this one is for blooming.”

As the sun disappeared beyond the canals, I realized blooming doesn’t mean becoming someone else. It means becoming more of who you already are.

Grateful for another evening filled with quiet reminders that beauty is everywhere… if we simply slow down long enough to notice.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
