Evening Reflections

A New Year Begins in the Clouds…

Up on the bluffs for sunset, the city stretched below me like a world being rinsed clean by the sky. No sun showing off tonight — only clouds drifting low and rain sweeping softly over the buildings. And still, I kept the ritual. Because the beauty of a sunset isn’t only in the colors you see, it’s in the promise you honor.

A hummingbird played peek-a-boo with me through the flowers. Each time the tiny bird darted out and disappeared again, it felt like nature’s way of reminding me: joy can be quick, small, and unexpected, and still change your whole moment.

Clouds glowed over the city, carrying the light even when the sun stayed hidden. A new year is like that too. We don’t always see what’s coming, but we can feel it — renewed hope, new opportunities, new adventures, new ways to give and love.

May we step into 2026 with steady rituals, open hearts, and playful wonder.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Even without the sun, the sky still shared its glow. Hope doesn’t need proof to exist — only a heart willing to hold the ritual. Grateful for new beginnings in every form, even clouds.
