Afternoon Reflections
Your Dreams Are Not an Accident…
There are some things in life that never lose their magic.
For me, it’s watching the birds fly toward me. The moment they spot me and begin making their way across the pier, my heart lights up. The pigeons landed on and off my hands all morning, eager for breakfast and happy to be together. Their excitement is contagious.
Captain was holding court on the pier this afternoon, as only Captain can. He has become quite the spectacle, drawing attention wherever he goes. Yet somehow, he still seems completely unaware of how magnificent he is.
A black-crowned night heron stood quietly nearby, watching the world go by while the waves rolled beneath the pier.
As I sat surrounded by feathers, wings, and friendship, I was reminded of the message I carried with me today:
“Your dreams are not an accident. There is something inside of you that wants to be born.”
Maybe that’s why these mornings mean so much. The birds remind me that joy is meant to be shared, freedom is meant to be felt, and beautiful things are always waiting for us when we show up.
And if you look really closely at the pigeons, you’ll notice something else.
Little hearts on their noses. ❤️
Sometimes the smallest details hold the biggest magic.
Grateful.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.

Gratitude Reflection:
Today I am grateful for happy birds, sunny skies, Captain’s daily visits, and the tiny hearts hidden on the noses of pigeons. The highlight of my day is watching them fly toward me, full of trust and excitement. Their happiness always finds a way to become my happiness.
