Evening Reflections

You Were Glowing All Along…

Tonight felt like a quiet conversation between the ocean and the sky. Two sailboats passed one another in the distance, like strangers sharing a knowing glance before continuing on their own journeys. The wind carried everything… even the flag standing tall far off, reminding me that even from a distance, movement matters.

The night herons were curious tonight, lingering on the pier, watching… waiting… as if they knew something beautiful was about to unfold.

Then came the moment. A pelican dove straight into the water with purpose, then another flew low across the surface, skimming the waves like it was writing its own story across the sea.

I stayed a little longer. Because sometimes the best things happen when you don’t rush away.

The moon slowly began to rise, soft and patient. And just as it did, a sailboat passed right through its glow… like a quiet reminder that timing doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

And in that moment, this truth settled in:

You don’t have to chase the light; you just have to stop dimming your own.

The light was never missing. It was always there… waiting for me to notice.

Grateful for another night.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
