Evening Reflections
Worth Slowing Down For…
Tonight’s sunset at Venice Beach felt like a secret tucked between the clouds.
The sun slowly dipped behind the mountains, peeking through a narrow opening in the dramatic gray sky. For a few moments, the horizon glowed with a brilliant orange light, as if the day was taking one last deep breath before settling into evening.
The pelicans were especially magical tonight. First, they flew by in a perfectly straight line, one after another, gliding effortlessly across the sky. Later they returned in a vertical formation, stacked like a living ladder stretching through the clouds. No matter how many times I see them, they never stop amazing me.
In the distance, the Santa Monica Ferris wheel shimmered through the haze while a boat raced across the water, determined to catch the last light of the day.
Moments like these remind me why I never miss a sunset.
“Sunsets are proof that endings can still be beautiful, soft, and worth slowing down for.”
Tonight, I slowed down and watched the sky tell its story. And once again, it was beautiful.
Grateful. 🌅🧡🕊️
