Evening Reflections

This Feels Like Heaven…

Tonight felt like heaven.

The sky seemed to tell an entire story. It began beneath deep, dramatic clouds, then the sun found its way through, spilling gold across the ocean before turning the sky into the most incredible shades of pink, coral and red. The waves were crashing, a boat passed in the distance, and even the puddles left behind on the sand became mirrors for the palm trees and sky.

Then came one of my favorite moments: dogs running along the shoreline, completely lost in their happiness. No worries about tomorrow, no holding back. Just pure joy in that exact moment. It was such a beautiful reminder of how life is meant to be lived.

And tonight felt even more meaningful because it is my dad’s birthday. ❤️

My dad gave me so much, but one of the greatest gifts he gave me was my love of nature and animals. He taught me, without even realizing it, to notice the things that make this life extraordinary.

“I hope you fall in love with life. With those sunsets that light up the sky. With all the small things that aren’t that small.”

Standing there tonight, watching the sky glow over the ocean, I realized just how much those words mean to me.

The sunsets. The birds. The animals. The waves. The changing clouds. The reflections in a puddle. The excitement of dogs running through the surf. These may look like small things, but they aren’t small at all.

They are life. 🤍

Happy Birthday, Dad. Thank you for teaching me to notice it, love it, and never stop being amazed by it.

Tonight, surrounded by all this beauty, this feels like heaven to me.

Forever grateful.
