Morning Reflections

Sunshine Wings…

This morning arrived wrapped in gray.

No dramatic sunrise. No bold colors asking for attention. Just a soft sky, a calm ocean, and the invitation to slow down.

And when I did—when I paused long enough to really look—I saw the magic.

The birds reminded me first.

How they show up no matter the weather, wings wide, hearts open, fully alive in the moment.

They don’t wait for perfect conditions to shine.

They are the sunshine.

Out over the water, pelicans dove with effortless grace, trusting the sea to meet them.

Surfers rose and fell with the waves, joy written into every ride, every splash, every laugh carried by the wind. Happiness doesn’t ask for perfection—it lives in presence.

The ocean held it all.

The birds.

The people.

The quiet moments in between.

There is so much beauty here, waiting patiently for us to notice. It reveals itself when we stop rushing, when we soften our gaze, when we choose to see with gratitude instead of expectation.

This morning, the world didn’t sparkle. It breathed.

And that was enough.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Today, I’m grateful for gray skies, borrowed sunshine, and the small sacred moments that remind me how alive I am.

Orange sticky notes with handwritten text placed along a misty coastal landscape at dusk.
