Evening Reflections
Still Finding Magic in Venice…
Tonight in Venice Beach felt like one beautiful reminder after another to always look up.
The evening began beneath a sky filled with textured clouds and tall palm trees reaching upward. The graffiti walls were bursting with color, each one its own little piece of Venice. Even the palm trees had surprises waiting high above, reminding me that sometimes the most interesting things are the things we almost walk right past.
As the sun disappeared, a beautiful ribbon of pink and orange stretched across the horizon while the waves came crashing onto shore. There is something about standing beside the ocean at the end of the day that makes everything else seem a little quieter.
And then came tonight’s incredible sky.
The moon appeared through the clouds during the lunar eclipse, glowing in such an unusual and beautiful way. It felt perfectly paired with the words I carried tonight:
“Just believe in the possibility that you can still find magical things here.”
I do believe that.
Magic doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it’s hidden in the clouds, painted across a graffiti wall, tucked high in a palm tree, reflected in the last colors of sunset, or waiting in the night sky.
And as I walked back to my car, I looked up one more time and saw the VENICE sign from behind, completely reversed. Somehow that felt like the perfect ending. A reminder that even something familiar can look completely different when you see it from another perspective.
Tonight was full of little reasons to stop, notice, and be present.
Another beautiful Venice evening. Another sky I’m grateful I looked up to see.
Grateful. Always.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
