Morning Reflections
Recognized by Ritual…
This morning on the pier was quiet, soft, and full of subtle surprises. Pegleg greeted me first—steady and familiar. Adonis was there too, perched in his usual spot, watching with calm eyes. I wore a different color today, and the pigeons weren’t quite sure it was me. Their hesitation made me smile. It’s funny how even birds notice the little things. Later, I returned in my usual outfit, and just like that, they all came out—bouncing, fluttering, full of joy. I always make sure they’re fed and have fresh water. It’s part of the ritual. Part of the love. There’s something beautiful about being recognized. About showing up consistently enough that even the birds know you. This morning reminded me: presence matters. And kindness, even in small gestures, is always remembered.
Morning Gratitude Thought:
Grateful for Pegleg and Adonis, for the pigeons’ sweet confusion, and for the joy of being recognized. Grateful for the rituals that build trust and the quiet love that shows up in feathers.
