Evening Reflections

Overthinking the Good Stuff…

Tonight, at Burton Chace Park, the world seemed to slow down just enough to remind me how much beauty fits into an ordinary evening.

As I walked beneath the white pergola, the last golden light settled over the marina. Sailboats rested quietly on the water as if they, too, were taking a deep breath before nightfall.

Then I met the cutest little dog dressed as a pink ballerina. She looked up at me with the sweetest smile, as if she knew she was bringing joy to everyone she met. Sometimes happiness has four tiny paws and a fluffy tutu.

Out on the water, a seagull was splish-splashing, completely absorbed in bath time. It flapped, dipped, and splashed with such delight that it looked like the only bird in the entire marina. Nearby, a pelican sat peacefully, simply enjoying the view. No hurry. No rush. Just being present.

Earlier I came across a quote that stayed with me all evening:

“Shall we try overthinking the good stuff?”

What a beautiful idea.

What if we replayed the sunsets instead of our worries? What if we overthought the kindness, the smiles, the peaceful moments, and the tiny miracles we often rush past?

Tonight reminded me that there is so much good worth noticing.

And the more I look for it, the more I find.

Grateful for another beautiful sunset.

Grateful for this beautiful life. ❤️

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
