Live Like Someone Left the Gate Open
This morning on the pier, I looked out and saw a dog running across the sand. Every time I see dogs running free on the beach, I think of that quote: “Live like someone left the gate open.” They look so full of life, so joyful, and completely in the moment. It’s contagious. I’m always greeted by the birds first thing in the morning — their presence lifts my whole day. And the familiar faces are there too, in their usual spots. There’s something deeply comforting about that quiet routine, that unspoken community. It’s such a beautiful thing to wake up and have something to look forward to.

Today, I’m grateful for the small joys — birds in the sky, dogs on the sand, and the gift of another peaceful morning.
