Evening Reflections

After the Rain, Venice Glows…

After the rain in Venice, the sky was so beautiful. The clouds behind the Venice sign stood out like a painting—layered, luminous, full of depth. Pink clouds stretched across the sky, blending with the graffiti and the ocean in a way that made me stop and just take it all in. The waves were crashing over the rocks, loud and rhythmic, like the ocean was clearing its throat. Seagulls were chasing each other through the clouds. And the sanderlings—those tiny, busy birds—were running along the water like little minions. They always look so busy, darting in and out with the tide. There’s always been something special about Venice. It’s not just the art or the beach—it’s the feeling. The way the light hits after the rain. The way the world seems freshly revealed. Grateful for the color, the contrast, the motion, and the quiet awe that follows a storm.

Evening Gratitude Thought:

Grateful for pink skies, crashing waves, busy sanderlings, and the way Venice glows after the rain.
