Morning Reflections
A Lion’s Gate Morning…
There was something extra beautiful about this Lion’s Gate morning. The sky was impossibly blue, the ocean sparkling, and almost as soon as I arrived, here came the birds flying toward me. That feeling never gets old. Seeing those wings coming my way always makes my heart so happy.
And then there was Captain. He was resting on the railing, completely flattened out in that funny way he does. I love watching him. When I walked back by later, there he was standing tall, almost as if he had decided his morning break was officially over.
The pigeons filled the sky and landed right in my hand, turning an ordinary moment into something that never feels ordinary to me. 🕊️ Someone was peacefully paddleboarding across the water while the lifeguard boat raced by in the distance. So much life was happening all around me.
And today’s message felt especially perfect:
“Today is 8/8.
You didn’t receive this by accident.
Keep going. Something wonderful may be closer than you think.”
Maybe that’s the reminder of this Lion’s Gate morning: keep going. Keep believing. Keep noticing the little signs along the way. Sometimes something wonderful really may be much closer than we realize.
Such a beautiful day. Such a beautiful morning to be alive, surrounded by the ocean, the birds, and these little moments I treasure so much.
Grateful. Always.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
